Getting Back to Normal -- Whatever That Is

Well I think my life may be getting back to some kind of normality -- even though normal for me would seem insane to others. One situation seems to have resolved itself. Several board members had been making my life hell and they suddenly resigned last week. All three within the same week. The first resignation shocked me (even though I was happy about it), the second just made me laugh because it was so silly and by the third resignation I realized how immature these people really are.

The sad thing is that I didn't even have to do anything. The three had convinced themselves that there was this conspiracy that didn't really exist. I am not sure what they thought they would accomplish with their mass exit. Maybe they thought the others would ask me to resign)but I don't think the outcome was what they expected. Instead of shock and disbelief most of the other board members sent me congratulation messages. One message said Hoo-Ray.

The pitiful thing is that I didn't really do anything except not back down when they would create bull-shit drama. I never even got to the chance to be mean (and you know I can be.)

of all the professional situations I have worked in, I've never seen such childish actions.

Megmonster was here for the past 10 days. I spent way too much money shopping and eating out. I just wanted to make sure she had a good time, but I don't think she did. It's very difficult when your child becomes an adult. I also think the mother-daughter relationship has to be one of the most difficult relationships that there is. No matter what I did, in the end I seemed to irritate the shit out of her.

One night we went to see Gwen Stephani. I have been in denial about being over 40 but this past week I was constantly reminded that I am no spring chicken.

Hi, I am a friend of Twinkies!

And yes, adults who act like children are very annoying!!

I understand about the mother-daughter relationship. I have two daughters - both are very different. Mine are 12 and 7, I hear it doesn't get any easier.

Ding dong the snitch, witch, and b!tch are gone! It's a shame when people put their own little power struggles ahead of the common good. I'm sure they're still wondering what happened! Ha!

And you're not making me look forward to my baby growing up. Stop that!

Ahhh.... what I have to look forward to, and my daughter isn't even born yet. ;) By the time my daughter is graduating high school, I'll be 50 something. Egads, I'm insane! Glad to hear the whole work thing is going better for you, though! Continued good luck to you! :)
