Norfolk Part Deux

The second trip to Norfolk was mostly uneventful. The first room at the hotel had the toilet handle laying on the floor so I asked for a room change. The second room was okay until I took a shower and found out (too late) that the water had two temps "hot as hell" and "hotter than hell."

So I marched down to the front desk with soap in my hair and told them that I was a travel writer on assignment to review the hotel and I was very unhappy so far. We spent the next two days on the concierge floor. It wasn't really a lie, I did post a trip review on travelocity.

What else happened?

1. Got a sunburn from laying by the pool too long.

2. The event host invited me over to his friend's house after the movie and they got drunk on champagne and made me watch Fred Astaire clips. When I finally convinced him to take me to my car I realized I had locked my keys in the car. So I had to wake up the hubby and kid at 3:00 am and have them bring the spare car keys down to the hotel lobby and go back to the other side of Norfolk to retrieve my car. Why did they have to meet me in the lobby? Well, you can't get to the concierge floor without the room key which was locked in the car with the car keys.

That's it, nothing special compared to the next week.
