I'm one lucky SOB
Your Luck Quotient: 77% |
![]() You have a high luck quotient. More often than not, you've felt very lucky in your life. You may be randomly lucky, but it's probably more than that. Optimistic and open minded, you take advantage of all the luck that comes your way. |

Yes it's a frog
For all of you that have asked, yes it is a frog. And for the other question, no it's not there, it's on my hip.

No she di'int
There is something I have wanted to do for years. I almost did it in 1996 when I was in Daytona Beach but I chickened out. I started thinking about it again this year. Well today I finally took the plunge.
I GOT A TATTOO!!
Leave it to me (the girl who wears rubber duckie pajamas)to get something silly and childish, but hey it's my first, so maybe I will get more creative on the next one.
Here's one very bad pic but there will be more to follow as soon as Tam emails them to me. Props to Tristian for getting one with me.

Friends in low places
Tonight I read my friend Skippy's blog posts from the past month and it made me remember why I like him so much. I am lucky that my friends understand my oddities and accept me just the way I am. I am also glad that my friends are odd too. I can't imagine my life without the people that have been with me through all of the joy and the drama.
I am very lucky to have great friends.

I think I see the light
I think today is going to be a decent day. I have been working on getting the new house put together. Now all the rooms have blinds up instead of old sheets. I am sure the neighbors are happy.
And I stuck to my new get ready in a flash routine. I got it down to 25 minutes. Maybe one day I can figure out a way to fit makeup and fixing my hair back into the routine.

Who am I version #553
I use to think I was somewhat comfortable with who I was. I thought I had accepted my faults and had grown to like the fact that I was flaky. But recently someone newer in my life frequently mentions all the annoying things that I do. At first I laughed them off because those of you who know and love me understand that I am a pain in the ass.
But as the weeks went on I started to wonder if my quirks are more serious than I thought. Because this person found me so difficult to deal with it made me consider that my flaws are things that I need to work on. So now I find myself thinking about this person's list over and over. I keep asking myself "who the hell am I and what type of person do I want to be?"
One of the major complaints this person had was how long it takes me to get ready. Now I know my long term friends are laughing because "Ang" time is a well know fact. But does my need to try and hide my physical flaws make me intolerable?
So this week I made a decision to try and get ready each day in 30 minutes or less. In order to do this I have stopped wearing makeup and fixing my hair (yes Twinkie the clip is back.) At first I was nervous but now I just really don't care what I look like. Oh and yes I have also given up covering the gray.
Do I feel like a better person? Hell no, but at least I know I can do it and honestly it fits with my "I just don't care" attitude of late. Tia told me I looked like shit. That's what sisters are for :)
Just so you don't freak out the next time you see me, here is the awful truth.

East Coast Hillbillies
Well the beach house is no more. It was a beautiful dream at first but it turned into a nightmare. There were some good times there but the place held too many bad memories so it was time to let it go.
Everything had to be moved out by Sunday and we didn't get started until Saturday afternoon. I never would have made it if it hadn't have been for my family. My sister Tia, her girlfriend Star, and H3 all pitched in and made it happen.
H3 and Star kicked ass on getting all that furniture down the steps and into a storage unit. Of course there were lots of extras that I did not need so Tia and Star loaded down their monster car. We also put a bunch of stuff on the back of H3's old truck.
After it was all over I took everyone to eat and I just had to take a picture of our down-home style of moving. If there was an east coast version of the Beverly Hillbillies, we are it.
