Some things never change

A few months ago I mentioned that I was going to make a better effort to keep in contact with all of my special girl friends. Well, the past few months have been crazy-busy, but over the Holiday's I was able to squeeze in some quality time with most of my girls.

When I was back in the 'ville for Christmas, H3 and I visited with the karaoke gang. It has taken me a while, but I finally posted some pictures from that night. The thing I love about this night is that it proves that some things never change, and I find that comforting.

During Christmas I was reminded that forgiveness is a good thing and being forgiven is even better.

My famous grand-kitty

While I hope that it will be many, many, many years before my children reproduce, I do like the fact that my daughter considers her pets to be like her children. Soon I will post the picture of my grand-puppy mona when she was sitting on Santa's lap. But for know, here is a link to a picture of my famous grand-kitty Isis.

I liked the bloopers better

The other day a friend and co-worker (CJ) forced me to film a few short promotional videos. Unfortunately he doesn't have a real video camera and uses a regular digital photo camera. While I adore CJ in many ways, we constantly try to one-up each other.

I am usually very comfortable talking on video. However due to the childish friendship I have with CJ I just could not make it through a one minute segment. When he e-mailed me the final product he sent me some of the bloppers and I realized I liked them better.

The quality of the video sucks. First, I look 30+ pounds heavier than normal, which is bad since I am very chubby to begin with. Then the lighting and shadows are so dark that my makeup looks like bad bronzer. Finally the audio makes me sound like I have a bad lisp.

Why am I rambling and writing this lame post? Well CJ said he was going to post the bloopers on You Tube (which he never did) and I finally forced myself to log in. Yes I have somehow managed to skip the You Tube mania until now.

While there I ran across this wonder post that made me crack up. Check it out -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWn0lxRNqos

Do I look smarter?

Now that I am beyond 40 it's time to start thinking about how people perceive me. Maybe it's time to loose the cleavage showing bar clothes for a more mature, studious look. My friend qkwirk took this a few months ago when I was trying on Chrissy Lynn's glasses. What do you think? Do they make me look smart?

The thing that surprises me most about getting older is how much I look like my mother. All my life people have told me that I look just like my birth father but in the last year I have started to look just like my mother. At Christmas my sister even mentioned it. H3 took this picture when I was in Vegas a few months ago. When I downloaded it to the computer I was shocked to see my mother looking back at me.

(In case you can't tell us apart that is me on the right and Ava Gardner on the left)
