Getting Back to Normal -- Whatever That Is
Well I think my life may be getting back to some kind of normality -- even though normal for me would seem insane to others. One situation seems to have resolved itself. Several board members had been making my life hell and they suddenly resigned last week. All three within the same week. The first resignation shocked me (even though I was happy about it), the second just made me laugh because it was so silly and by the third resignation I realized how immature these people really are.
The sad thing is that I didn't even have to do anything. The three had convinced themselves that there was this conspiracy that didn't really exist. I am not sure what they thought they would accomplish with their mass exit. Maybe they thought the others would ask me to resign)but I don't think the outcome was what they expected. Instead of shock and disbelief most of the other board members sent me congratulation messages. One message said Hoo-Ray.
The pitiful thing is that I didn't really do anything except not back down when they would create bull-shit drama. I never even got to the chance to be mean (and you know I can be.)
of all the professional situations I have worked in, I've never seen such childish actions.
Megmonster was here for the past 10 days. I spent way too much money shopping and eating out. I just wanted to make sure she had a good time, but I don't think she did. It's very difficult when your child becomes an adult. I also think the mother-daughter relationship has to be one of the most difficult relationships that there is. No matter what I did, in the end I seemed to irritate the shit out of her.
One night we went to see Gwen Stephani. I have been in denial about being over 40 but this past week I was constantly reminded that I am no spring chicken.

Wii, Wii , Wii all the way home
San Francisco was great. The weather was perfect and the wine in Sonoma was plentiful. Friday night I just walked the streets of San Franciso until around midnight. That was some good people watching.
Megmonster is flying in Saturday night and she will be here for 10 days. We are going to see Gwen Stefani Monday night.
The big news of the day is that H3 made a late night Wal-Mart run tonight and they just put out the only Nintendo Wii that was on the truck. And guess who saw it and scooped it up. Yep it was H3.
I can't wait to hook it up. Every once in a while things just go my way.
